Our examinations are our cornerstone service for keeping your pet healthy. By discussing your pet's history and examining your pet we can assess their overall well-being and make recommendations to enable your pet to live a longer more comfortable life. We take the time to thoroughly go over your pets history and perform a very comprehensive examination.
Senior Pet Wellness Plan
We offer a Senior Wellness Plan for pet 7 years and older. This plan implements proactive biannual examinations, blood work, urine analysis and radiographs to help detect subtle and subclinical problems early enough to enable us to start an effective treatment protocol. We believe in taking a proactive approach to your aging pet's health which can lead to a extended quality of life for your fuzzy family member.
Laboratory Services
As veterinarians it is sometimes difficult to assess our patient's illness without performing bloodwork. We are equipped with an on-site laboratory for performing such test as stool examinations, cytology, urine analysis, heartworm test, felv/fiv test, parvo test, electrolytes measurements, complete blood counts and chemistries to evaluate internal organ functions. We also use outside laboratory services to provide the most accurate lab data in a timely yet economical manner.
Laser Surgery
We offer laser surgery as an exciting new option for safe, comfortable treatment. The laser can replace the scalpel and provide better alternative to traditional surgery. Benefits to laser surgery include less pain, less bleeding, less swelling, reduced risk of infections which improves your pet's healing. Please request to our staff that you would like your pets procedure performed with our CO2 laser. http://www.accuvet.com
Surgery
Before anesthesia and any surgical procedure, our doctors perform a complete physical examination on your pet.
In addition, we recommend a pre-surgical blood screening on all pets, just as your human doctor would do. It can detect many potential problems and increases the anesthetic safety for your pet. Pre-anesthetic bloodwork is required for all pets. All potential problems noted in the physical examination or the bloodwork result in a phone call to you and are thoroughly discussed at that time.
